What are we grateful for this Christmas?

Can you believe it? We have officially entered the final run up to Christmas. It feels as though March was both last week and 3 centuries ago… but we made it. For many of us, this year we experienced great highs and extreme lows; we struggled, but we fought and battled through.

But right now, we can push the negatives to the back of our subconscious and focus on the present. It is a time to spend with family and friends (preferably at a 2m distance) and reflect on what we have to be grateful for – because even in the midst of the madness, there is more than you realise.

In fact, I wandered around the office, asked my colleagues that exact question and compiled a list of their answers:

‘What are you grateful for?’

  • My wonderful office team
  • The health and wellness of everyone around me
  • My family and friends
  • The fact that football is back on
  • Laughter and happiness
  • Music
  • My job
  • My dog
  • The morning coffee

It didn’t stop there – I then moved on to asking;

‘What is your favourite Christmas movie?’

  • Deck the Halls
  • Love Actually
  • Home Alone
  • White Christmas
  • Muppets

‘What is your favourite Christmas song?’

  • Mistletoe
  • All I want for Christmas is you
  • Fairy tale of New York
  • Step into Christmas
  • Merry Christmas Everyone

‘What is your favourite Christmas drink?’

  • Cider
  • Red berry vodka and tonic
  • Beer
  • Baileys hot chocolate with whipped cream from the German market
  • Hot chocolate with whipped cream, marshmallows and a Cadburys flake.

And finally ‘What is your favourite part of Christmas?’

  • Pub crawl
  • Christmas Eve drink
  • Pub crawl (again)
  • Everything
  • Seeing family open presents

If you’ve got time on your hands, I encourage you to do the same. Ask around; ‘what is your favourite part about Christmas?’ It’s a great way to get to know your team and discuss your plans.

Though this will not be a Christmas like any other, it’ll be the one most prominent in our minds.

Keep smiling, have an amazing holiday and, if you feel like it, why not treat you and your business to one of our services?

So from us, to you… we wish you all a very, Merry Christmas.
